Kumaresan was sitting in the bridal room.

He thought he’d have a straight talk with Vasuki about everything tonight itself. Particularly, about his salary!

Six months ago his friend, Mahesh’s marriage took place. As usual he had given his salary to his mother. His wife burst out! Next month he gave his salary to wife. And his mother exploded! The quarrel that started with regard to the salary has now reached the point of ‘you want mother or wife’! As thing should not take this turn, there should be a discussion with Vasuki.

After listening to everything, Vasuki said with all her cool, ‘What problem is there in it? As usual give your salary to your mother. She’ll manage the house. I’ve no problem.’ Kumaresn breathed with all satisfaction! Then Vasuki said further, ‘When our marriage was decided, we made all enquiries...... what was your salary....... and how much fringe benefits you have! I know all about it. Give your salary to your mummy, and your extra income to me!
