When Radha became pregnant, her mother-in-law, Sumitra was very active in taking care of her.

First delivery was to take place at Radha’s house but Sumitra refused it saying there were no good doctors there. She admitted her into hospital ten days earlier! She didn’t want to take any risk.

That day the servant maid did not come. She was very angry that the maid had to take leave on that day! She herself did all chores. After kitchen work, she ran to the hospital.

That evening she took the maid to task!

The maid said silently, ‘Excuse me! My daughter-in-law was pregnant. She did not go to any doctor so far! Today I wanted to take her to some doctor. Even before the rickshaw came, labour pain started. She delivered at home itself! Twins!! Since morning, I’ve been serving her! That’s why I could not come. From tomorrow I’ll be regular!’
