As her car broke down, she had to go by auto.
She asked the auto-driver, Govind how many women he had taken to the hospital for free for delivery.
‘Maybe about twenty women.’
‘Has your wife ever travelled in your auto?’
‘Yes! Daily once. She believes by sitting on the seat of pregnant women, she too may be blessed with a child.’
There was both helplessness and hope in his voice.
The auto stopped before the maternity hospital. Stepping outside the auto, she said, ‘You’re doing a great service. Your wife’s expectation would surely be fulfilled. Take your wife to me. A baby would surely play in your lap. I’ll treat your wife free of cost.’
