Expectation
-Selva Raja
Kalimuthu was grazing bullock in the jungle.
Parmasivam was coming, walking on the hedge, with a walking-stick in his hand.
‘Master! I need money for my son’s studies. I’ll pay back the loan selling the milk, once the cow gives birth.’ Kalimuthu pleaded.
‘Don’t worry, Kalimuthu. I’ll arrange. It’s all right. You take so much trouble to educate your son. Are you sure he’ll take care of you when he grows up?’
‘What’s there, Master? You’ve asked just like that. Look at the top of the tree there!’
‘Oh! Kali! I asked you a question, and you show me a nest there!’
‘Yes! Master! Look at that nest. The bird is happy feeding the young ones. Does it expect that these young ones will take care of her?
After listening to the reply of Kali, Parmasivam fell in deep thoughts!
