Nest
-Parma Sivam
‘I’ve been asking you since a month. When do you intend to vacate the house? Only after you leave, cleaning will be done, and then we’ll move in.’ The house-owner said in a loud voice.
‘Sir! Please give us two-week’s time. We’ll vacate.’
‘OK. Last chance I give you. You’ve to vacate it by that time.’ He went out murmuring.
Muthusamy’s wife, Mangalam asked, ‘You have seen another house. Why do you ask for more time?’
‘I’m not asking time for us. Look at the nest! Only yesterday the chicks came out of the eggs! They need two more weeks to fly. While cleaning the house, they’ll trash the nest too. What would happen to these poor chicks?’
