Love
-Ve Tamilazagan
Ganesh and Kamala were husband and wife. Tasteless food.......untidy home......disobedient to the elders. They had many complaints against each other.
There were innumerable nights which had passed away in silence.
Now this is their room.
One’s face was toward the east and the other’ was towards the west.
‘Kamala’, Ganesh addressed her. ‘What?’ she asked. ‘Let’s talk.’ ‘About what?’ ‘Quarrel between us.....displeasures........misunderstandings......’ ‘Could we say these on the face of the other?’ He got up. Switched on the light........fetched the paper and pen, and extended them towards her. ‘I’d write my complaints. You list your grievances.’
Both started writing.
Then, he took the paper of Kamala and read it.
The whole paper was written. ‘Ganesh! I love you.....I love you......I love you......... I love you..........’
He felt hurt. He had listed a page-full of his grievances of such a loving wife.
He took his paper and tore it into shreds.
He hugged her, ‘Kamala! I love you.’
