Rectification
-S. Raman
As he was feeling unwell, Kumar had come home at 3 O’clock. When he was about to go to bed to take rest, his son, Ravi came home from school as usual. He was shocked to see that soon after entering home Ravi removed his shoes and threw them away. He hurled the schoolbag so violently that the books fell out of the bag and spilled on the floor. He tossed the pencils and eraser out of the window. He removed his uniform and cast them off. Then he went to his mother; pinched her; and then started crying.
Kumar was shocked to see his son doing these. He asked his wife, ‘Why our son behaves like that? How do you tolerate it? It is too bad!’
‘Daddy is always the role model for the son. Soon after coming from office you too behave in the same way. All the frustration of office, you bring home. We’ve to tolerate all your churlishness. Our son is just imitating you. It is up to you to rectify him.’
After this, when Kumar comes home, he comes with a smile.
